You don't mention if the "Flexible Cementitious products perform under hydrostatic pressure conditions....do they? If so to what levels?

Terry, thank you for your interest and to answer your question, flexible cementitious coatings can perform very well under hydrostatic pressure and as mentioned in the article, are used in water containing structures. I cannot speak for all materials in the marketplace, but one material that we manufacture can withstand a water head pressure of 126 feet on the negative side when applied at a 2mm thickness (80 mils). This is tested to TT-P-1411A, FEDERAL SPECIFICATION, PAINT, COPOLYMER-RESIN, CEMENTITIOUS (FOR WATERPROOFING CONCRETE AND MASONRY WALLS. Please contact me directly at rsnow@wrmeadows.com if you would like some additional information on this product. Thanks, Russ

Russell, Good article-can you recommend a paintable water proofing membrane, or cementicious product to be used on the upper side of small balconies (approximately 18' wide, 8" thick and 10' long) on condominiums in south Forida-or other coastal areas? An aluminum handrail is also installed on the balconies, as there is a sliding glass door to the balcony. Ken
