Hyde Tools has introduced a painter’s tool that purportedly can do everything from opening bottles to cleaning rollers and pulling nails.

The new Hyde 17-in-1 Painter’s Tool aims to eliminate the hassle of carrying (and keeping track of) multiple tools on a work site, according to the Southbridge, MA-based company.

Hyde Tools' new 17-in-1 Painter's Tool allows painters to scrape paint, clean rollers and pull nails with a single tool.

The multi-tool assists in common tasks—like scraping flat surfaces and contours, spreading putty, opening out cracks, opening bottles, pulling nails or pounding them in—as well as less common ones.

Among its 17 features and uses:

  • Two wrench sizes;
  • Four screw bits;
  • Nail set and scrib in handle; and
  • Clean rollers and mini-rollers.

The company says the tool also has an overmold handle with a thumb stop for safety and a stainless-steel blade that resists rusting.
