Allnex has introduced a pair of solvent-free, waterborne dispersions for use in two-part polyurethane coating systems.

Macrynal VSM 2521w and VSM 6299w are designed to yield coatings with high gloss and excellent chemical and block resistance, according to the company.

The dispersions can be hand-mixed when mechanical agitation is not available, Allnex says.

Polyurethane coatings formulated with the new waterborne dispersions can be used on wood furniture.

Resulting coatings can be applied to wood surfaces, including furniture.

Allnex, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, supplies resins for architectural, industrial, OEM and specialty coatings globally. The company was previously known as Cytec Industries.
