Architectural millwork maker Fypon has introduced some 200 new polyurethane building products for both exterior and interior residential and commercial applications.

The products—ranging from trims to columns—can fulfill both the decorative and functional needs for many projects, according to the company.

Some of the new products are included in the Classic Woodgrain and Sandstone finish lines, according to Mark Savan, president of Therma-Tru Corp., the company that owns Fypon.

Classic Woodgrain

Classic Woodgrain decorative millwork and moulding pieces are made of durable polyurethane, Fypon says.

The products come with a refined woodgrain texture suitable for either staining or painting, according to Fypon.

The line includes a variety of crown, casing, baseboard and apron mouldings, as well as crossheads, plinth blocks and a closed-ended beam.

The company says the pieces cannot be penetrated by moisture or insects. They also resist rotting, warping, cracking, chipping, peeling, and are weather resistant.

Sandstone Finish

Inspired by the Mediterranean-style homes on the West Coast, Fypon says it will add new sandstone-textured pieces of polyurethane to its portfolio in April.

The line comes with an oatmeal-colored primer coat suitable for staining or painting.

Four new sandstone round structural and four half-round non-structural columns are being introduced along with 16 column caps and base, the company notes. The columns come in both eight and 10 foot heights.

Moreover, three different trim pieces—which can be used to surround doors and windows—are being introduced with the sandstone finish. These include a detailed corner piece, straight piece and a complementary straight piece with finished edge, according to the company.

Based in Maumee, OH, Fypon manufactures more than 2,500 synthetic building materials.
