A new guide can help construction professionals stay abreast of licensing requirements in each U.S. state.

The National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies announced the publication of its 2015 edition of the NASCLA Contractor’s State Licensing Information Directory in its March newsletter.

Detailed Directory

The directory offers a summary of contractor licensing requirements by state and identifies more than 170 state agencies that regulate the construction industry.

The directory summarizes the pre-qualification, licensing, examination and bonding requirements. 

Information regarding reciprocity, license classifications, incorporating requirements and fees is also included.

The NASCLA, formed in 1962, is a nonprofit organization that strives for better regulation of the construction industry to protect the health, welfare and safety of the public.

The association's membership is comprised of state and local contractor licensing agencies, construction firms, construction trade associations, and others associated with the construction industry.
