ST. PAUL, MN--3M has updated its Scotchgard Resilient Floor Protector, a proprietary floor coating designed with nanotechnology to protect and beautify floors in hospitals, offices and more.

The zinc-free, low-odor formula produces a hard surface that features superior gloss retention, black mark and hand sanitizer resistance, and easier black mark removal, according to the company.

The two-coat formula increases operational efficiency and minimizes chemical usage, according to 3M.

Designed for facility floor maintenance in areas such as hospitals, schools, office and retail spaces, the two-coat protector is formulated for multiple surfaces, including sheet vinyl, linoleum, luxury vinyl, and Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT), the company says.

The protector works with the 3M Resilient Floor Protection System to allow for reduced chemical usage, increased operational efficiency, and 40 percent quicker hardness development than leading traditional acrylic floor finishes, 3M says.

The product is available in a one-gallon bag or a 2.5-gallon jug.
