PPG Invests $385K in Educational Programs

PPG’s charitable arm reports it has recently donated more than $385,000 to support educational programming in the Pittsburgh area.

The paint and coatings manufacturer has its global headquarters and several facilities in the western Pennsylvania region.

The PPG Foundation has invested more than $220,000 to support programming at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh.

The grants highlight PPG’s commitment to supporting its local communities and the PPG Foundation’s top priority of increasing educational opportunities for youth, particularly in the areas of math and technology, the company announced Wednesday (March 23).

Nine Grants

The recent grantees are listed below:

“PPG and its foundation remain committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate,” said Sue Sloan, executive director of the PPG Foundation.

“These initiatives encourage students to explore the world around them—particularly in the areas of technology, engineering and math—and provide engaging learning experiences that will influence the future success of the participants and of advanced manufacturing.”
