Prosoco (Lawrence, KS) has released a new roller-grade version of its R-Guard FastFlash fluid-applied flashing membrane.

FastFlash is a waterproofing, adhesive and detailing compound that combines "the best characteristics of silicone and polyurethane," according to product literature. The single-component, Silyl-Terminated Poly-Ether (STPE) produces a durable, seamless, elastomeric flashing membrane, the company says.

Used along with FastFlash gun-grade, the roller-grade version of FastFlash can streamline the process of waterproofing rough openings, joints and seams, and building conditions in new or existing wall assemblies, the company says.

Formulated with all of the same characteristics as the original, gun-grade version, the new product features additional proprietary properties for roller-grade applications, the company says.

The roller-grade FastFlash will be available in 2-gallon pails, while the standard gun-grade FastFlash will continue to be sold in sausages and cartridges. The company notes that no changes have been made to the original formula.
