New colorants designed for onsite tinting of silicone roof coatings aim to provide owners and contractors with more options.

APOC (Tampa, FL), a division of Gardner-Gibson Inc., has introduced EZ Blend colorants. The pigments are available in 11 custom colors, including Harbor Blue, Barn Red and Safety Yellow and Black.

The EZ Blend colorants are available in 11 custom colors.

“Building owners from coast to coast told us that they wanted the waterproofing benefits of silicone in a color that would also complement their property visually,” said Bob Hyer, APOC vice president of sales and marketing.

The formula supports the tinting of the company’s Armor Flex #585 White Silicone for light colors and Armor Flex Deep Tint Base for dark colors.

The colorants can also be used with most other brands of silicone coatings on the market, said Hyer. According to the manufacturer, the finished color will be slightly different depending on the base coat used.

The colorants are available via professional roofing distributors.
