Architectural metal wall system manufacturer Centria (Moon Township, PA) has added insulated composite backup panel options with the introduction of the MetalWrap Integrated Series and Long Span Series.

A barrier for the building envelope, MetalWrap offers a high level of versatility, according to the manufacturer.

The Integrated Series features integral attachment systems—including MR-100 and MR-300 rail systems as well as integral clips, pintles and/or masonry anchors—for ease of installation of any cladding material, such as metal, terra cotta, ACM panels, brick facades and other rainscreens, the company says.

The Heart of the City Health Center in Grand Rapids, MI, features the MetalWrap system.

Due to its aesthetic flexibility, the system is recommended for mixed-medium exteriors. The product offers two-inch and three-inch thicknesses to provide thermal performance for even the most demanding projects, Centria says.

Further, when installed with Centria’s metal wall panel cladding, the Integrated Series creates a “complete rainscreen system solution,” the company says.

The Long Span Series reportedly provides flexibility when attaching the backup panel system directly to steel girts, up to six feet. This option includes panel thicknesses up to four inches for superior thermal performance, the company says.
