Tramex Moisture Meters (Dublin, Ireland) has launched a new hand-held, digital pin-meter moisture testing instrument for wood, drywall and other surfaces.

The Professional PTM2.0 Pin Meter features built-in international standard calibration options; specific calibration for over 500 wood species; and internal calibration, according to the manufacturer.

The Professional PTM2.0 Pin Meter has been engineered with point-to-point precision for heightened accuracy, according to Tramex.

The instrument is also equipped with an adjustable pre-programmed temperature correction feature, which means the user no longer has to work with temperature correction charts—thereby avoiding inaccurate readings caused by the large effect that temperature differences can have on moisture content measurements, especially when drying, Tramex says.

The unit also offers responsive ergonomic technology and a large display screen.
