Manufacturer MSA (Cranberry Township, PA) has announced the launch of the MSA Beam Trolley, a moveable anchorage designed to support personnel or material in building construction, oil and gas and other industries.

The Beam Trolley, which provides I-beam anchorage capability for multiple industrial applications, was designed to be lighter, smoother and easier to use, the company says.

Compatible for use with MSA fall arrest and confined space components, MSA says its Beam Trolley provides I-beam anchorage capability for multiple industrial applications, allowing for mobility in a horizontal direction.

The trolley consists of a carriage with four wheels containing anti-friction bearings that are connected to aluminum housings and to a steel cross bar. The cross bar provides an anchorage point for attaching fall protection equipment, MSA explains.

Compatible for use with MSA fall arrest and confined space components, the unit can be positioned anywhere along an overhead beam to provide mobility in a horizontal direction, according to the company. Easy setup and added adjustability eliminates the need for custom design, it adds.

It features a maximum personnel working load 310 pounds, and a maximum material working load 620 pounds, according to product specifications.

The company recommends the product for use in the chemical, construction, oil and gas, utilities, water treatment, general industrial, and mining industries.

MSA says it will discontinue the BeamGlide Trolley (P/N 506266) effective Dec. 31, 2016.
