The SpiderLine Temporary Horizontal Lifeline System, newly upgraded by Spider, is designed for safe, reliable fall protection on rooftops, building construction sites, and other elevated surfaces.

Made for easy installation and engineered to fit multiple applications at height, the system improves workers’ safety and productivity while meeting fall protection requirements set by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Canadian Standards Association.

The SpiderLine Temporary Horizontal Lifeline System includes several new features, including a low-profile chain to eliminate trip hazards, the company says.

The system has a maximum length of 300 feet.

Upgraded Features

Spider says the improved SpiderLine design boasts several new features, including:

  • Standard pass-through stanchions, which allow the freedom to move without having to unhook the lanyard;
  • A wide clamp option that connects to beams up to 36 inches wide with 3 3/8-inch flange thickness;
  • A 12.5 degree vertical angle that allows an open walkway for workers;
  • A low-profile chain, to eliminate trip hazards; and
  • A modular stanchion post, to make the system more affordable.

“We listened to our customers’ needs and improved the SpiderLine features accordingly,” said John Sotiroff, vice president of sales and distribution.

SpiderLine is available for purchase from the Seattle-based company’s 25 operation centers located throughout the Americas.
